When (& how) will we get to Sweden?
Many people have asked when we are leaving for Sweden, but before we can move and begin our ministry there, we have much to accomplish here. Many missionaries and agencies refer to the time before getting to the country as pre-field ministry. This time involves making contacts with individuals and churches for the sake of raising financial and prayer support, as well as to minister to them by teaching the word and making known the needs on the field.
The process of raising support includes both financial and spiritual aspects. We are responsible for securing our monthly need in full in order to leave for Sweden. As it now stands, that amount is $6500 per month. But beyond just the financial side, and significantly more important, is the spiritual support we need through prayer. We have a goal of securing 300 daily prayer partners. It would be one thing to arrive on the field having our full financial support, but without the prayer support we would ultimately be ineffective in ministry, thus wasting the funds that people are giving. In order to have an effective ministry, not only must we be praying, but we need others like you praying for us. Please consider supporting us in this way.
What do we plan to do in Sweden?
Once we reach our full support need, we will be able to move to Sweden. But that begs the question, “What will you be doing there?” In short, our goal is to establish churches. But what does that mean? BMW’s purpose is “To serve the Lord and the local church by establishing reproducing churches through evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development.”
The process starts with our making contacts through various means. As we develop those redemptive relationships we will seek opportunities to share the gospel. Discipleship and leadership development will only happen within those relationships.
Please partner with us in praying towards that end.
Thank you all for your prayer, support, and encouragement.
