Last month God gave us the tremendous privilege of hosting several of our future teammates in Grandville for a sort of mini-Scandinavian extravaganza. We affectionately called it Scandimania. The Morell family was in town during their short furlough from Sweden; the Coulters came in from Flint, where they are spending the summer ministering; and the Bates came in from Missouri. It was busy, fun, encouraging, tiring, and refreshing. We praise God for this team that He is putting together and what He is accomplishing through us.
We recently returned from spending two weeks in Lawrenceville, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. We were there to attend the two week candidate orientation at Biblical Ministries Worldwide. During this time we participated in various classes, learning much about BMW and their purpose, their core values and their approach to missions.
Over those two weeks the Lord brought many new friends into our lives. We are excited to now have friends who are going to Ecuador, Luxembourg, and Uruguay among many other countries. Our kids also enjoyed making new friends and learning what it means to be kid missionaries.
But the highlight of the two weeks has to be the outcome. As part of the Orientation, we were assessed and interviewed in multiple ways. And we’re excited to tell you that at the end of the two weeks, after all the assessments, and tests, and interviews, and classes were over, we were accepted as missionary appointees to Sweden! We praise the Lord for His work in this! This is what we have long been praying and pursuing. We are so thankful for His faithfulness.
In the upcoming weeks we are planning on lots of family time as well as preparing for future church presentations of our ministry in order to raise prayer and financial support.
We are excited for this opportunity and for all that God has in store as He continues to lead us. Thank you all for your prayer, support, and encouragement.

We miss you, but how Awesome is our God in sending you to Sweden. Say hello to the Mother Land for me when you get there.
What a great family picture! How exciting to see how God has moved you along in the direction He had planned so long ago! God is so patient and moves differently than we humans. He uses every step for a purpose that we don’t see. When we look back and see
how He has led we can only be in awe at His wisdom and grace. I have already prayed for you and will continue; also for the Coulters and your team. It is neat to pray for two families we know going to the same place!!
